About Us

STEEL Mentoring Program for Boys
Welcome to the STEEL Mentoring Program for Boys, where we are dedicated to transforming the lives of young males in Douglas & Cobb County, Georgia. Our Christian-based mentoring initiative is designed to inspire and
empower boys aged 10-19 to become “Strong, Tenacious, Educated, and Empowered Leaders” in their communities. Through one-on-one and group mentoring, experiential learning, and active parental involvement, we provide the support and guidance needed to help our mentees overcome challenges, achieve academic success, explore careers, and realize their full potential. Join us in our mission to build a brighter future for the next generation of leaders.

Join us for the Rare Pearls Mentoring & Leadership Program and STEEL Mentoring Program for Boys Holiday & Awards Banquet: “The Gift of Presence”! Celebrate a year of achievements with a delightful evening of community, recognition, and joy.

After getting to know you in the interview we will pair you with a mentor.

Once matched, you’ll be formally admitted into the program! Welcome.

How we have fun
The STEEL Mentoring Program for Boys focuses on Whole Person Learning and Fun!
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers, mentees, and parents for their unwavering support and dedication. Your participation helps make events like these possible and impactful.
Our Mentoring and Golf Event combines these principles by providing a unique opportunity for mentees to learn valuable life skills while enjoying the game of golf.

Our visit to the Air Museum in Warner Robins, GA, provided mentees with a unique opportunity to learn about aviation history, engage with educational exhibits, and enjoy a day filled with discovery and exploration.

Our participation in the Rare Pearls Luncheon, in support of our sister mentoring program, provided mentees with a valuable opportunity to connect with community and peers, etiquette training, learn from inspiring speakers, and celebrate the achievements of young women in our community.

We had an amazing time at our Baseball and BBQ Day, where mentees, mentors, and families came together for a fun-filled day of sports, delicious food, and community bonding. It was the perfect blend of teamwork on the field and camaraderie around the grill!

Our recent STEM activity was a fantastic hands-on experience where mentees and mentors teamed up to explore the exciting world of science and technology. The young men engaged in building projects that sparked their curiosity and creativity, all while learning valuable skills for the future.

We had a fantastic time representing the STEEL Mentoring Program for Boys at the Harvest Festival in Douglas County! It was a great opportunity to engage with the community, share our mission, and connect with new families and potential mentors.

Our visit to the Rocket Museum in Huntsville, AL, was an out-of-this-world experience for our mentees! From exploring real spacecraft to learning about the history of space exploration, the day was filled with awe and inspiration as our young men discovered the wonders of the universe.

The Men Of STEEL’s first fishing activity for the STEEL Mentoring For Boys Program was a huge success, with 15 boys participating, 12 men volunteering their time, and the support of parents and Deacons from Elizabeth Baptist Church who made the day possible.
