Are you a young male aged 10-19 in Douglas or Cobb County, Georgia, looking for guidance and support? The STEEL Mentoring Program for Boys is here for you. Our Christian-based mentoring initiative is committed to helping you become a “Strong, Tenacious, Educated, and Empowered Leader” in your community.

Through one-on-one and group mentoring, experiential learning, and active parental involvement, we offer a safe and supportive environment where you can overcome challenges, achieve academic success, explore exciting career opportunities, and unlock your full potential. Mentees should attend the monthly group meeting / activity held the 3rd Saturday of the month. You will receive communication with the date, time and location of the group meetings and events. Please mark your calendar for the 3rd Saturday of the month for our group meetings currently being held at the First United Methodist Church, 6167 Prestley Mill Rd., Douglasville, GA. You will receive communication with the time for the group meetings (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM) and any planned events or activities. In order to gain the most from the program, mentees are asked to make an effort to attend as many group meetings as possible.

I will also give consent for my child to participate in all Youth Mentor Program activities; including all organized activities and transportation. In consideration of the advantages of participation in the Youth Mentor Program, the undersigned agrees that the S.T.E.E.L Mentoring Program For Boys, and its agents shall be released and exempt from any liability for damages for bodily injuries or property damages that may occur as a result of participation in the Youth Mentor Program, except to the extent of insurance liability as provided by law.
